Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will soon be honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Information Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information. Sharing this information via Twitter, Prakash Javadekar wrote, "Legend Amitabh Bachchan who inspires one or two generations, has been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The entire country and global institutions are happy with this. My heartfelt wishes.

Let us tell you that Amitabh Bachchan has been awarded many big awards earlier. In which Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri have been awarded. Amitabh Bachchan has been awarded the Padma Shri in the year 1984, the Padma Bhushan in the year 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in the year 2015.

Amitabh Bachchan has been entertaining the audience through cinema for almost 5 decades. He made his debut in the film industry in 1969. He got recognition on the big screen from the 1971 film Anand. Rajesh Khanna was in an important role with him in this film.

Amitabh Bachchan has also been awarded the National Award four times for his best performance. He received the National Award for Best Actor for the first time in 1990 for his film Agneepath. After this, he was awarded the National Award for the film 'Black' in the year 2005. He was also given the National Award for Best Actor in 2009 for 'Paa' and in 2015 for the film 'Piku'.
